Actively with Eko-Okna

sport

Popularizing running as an easily accessible form of exercise – this is one of the goals of Eko-Okna, the organizer of the Eko-Cross run through the forest in Kornice. The start and finish line were located right next to the Montessori Kindergarten and Nursery, where the Open Day was held.

On Saturday, September 30th at 9:30 adults, children and teenagers had the opportunity to take part in a unique 6 km run through the forest in Kornice. – We want to encourage everyone, regardless of age, to take up physical activity. Sport should also be, above all, good fun, and at the same time you can take care of your health - said Małgorzata Siwochowicz, health prevention coordinator at Eko-Okna. Over 100 children took part in the run.

The participants had to cover 6 km, on asphalt roads, field roads and undulating terrain. – We set a time limit of 60 minutes. According to our calculations, even at a very slow pace, everyone should be able to complete this route – added Małgorzata Siwochowicz. There was also a run for children and teenagers. More than 20 people were awarded in the special category "Eko-Okna Employee".

The children invited their loved ones to the kindergarten

Another important event took place that morning – the Open Day of the Montessori Kindergarten and Nursery in Kornice. For children already registered at the facility, it was a unique opportunity to show the kindergarten and nursery to their families. – The children brought their grandparents and siblings. It was very nice to see how much they enjoyed showing their loved ones around the educational rooms and showing how they spend their day in our kindergarten – said Natalia Majewska, director of the Montessori Kindergarten and Nursery in Kornice.

Hours tailored to the individual needs of parents

Children can be taken to kindergarten and nursery from 5:30 a.m. and picked up until 4:30 p.m. – The hours are designed so that all parents, including Eko-Okna employees, have the opportunity to enrol their child in this kindergarten and nursery, as well as drop him off and pick him up at hours that are convenient for them – concluded Natalia Majewska.
